In a dialogue that lasted several days, the specialists announced that decision, which would take effect on April 1. The Board of Directors of the CCSS should validate the proposals.
During a new meeting on Monday, the Board of Directors of the CCSS called on the physicians and their National Union of Doctors and Specialists (SINAME) to resume the guards and availabilities as soon as the dialogue remains open to avoid any damage to the public service.
Following the meeting, the CCSS informed in a press release that a detailed technical and legal review of the proposals would be made not only under the financial capacity of the institution but also with the law concerning the national regulations on public employment.
The Board of Directors of the CCSS acknowledged that the situation with the specialists is a priority and the Fund must build in the short, medium, and long term on a vision of retaining human talent that is modern and competitive. The doctors reportedly demand establishing a new definitive global salary during regular working hours and migrating to this salary without losing the qualities and benefits previously acquired.
