The communication disclosed in this capital reported that by ‘precise instructions of the two countries’ presidents, Colombia and Argentina’s Foreign Ministries have held conversations to strengthen diplomatic ties, in line with the traditional relations of fraternity, civility and the links between both peoples in the political, commercial, cultural and institutional spheres’.
In this sense, he pointed out, ‘the respective governments have taken concrete steps to overcome any differences and strengthen this relationship’.
He added that ‘the Colombian Government has given indications for the return of Ambassador Camilo Romero to Buenos Aires, while granting its approval to the new Ambassador proposed by the Argentine Government in Bogota’.
In turn, Argentina announced the visit of its Foreign Minister, Diana Mondino, to Colombia.
The Colombian and Argentine diasporas residing in both countries: students, workers, businessmen and families, have built this relationship and are its main support.
Both governments will continue working for the welfare of these populations’, the note further highlighted.
