“To carry out from April 1 to July 15, 2024 conscription for military service of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30 years who are not in the reserve and subject to conscription, in the amount of 150 thousand persons,” the document states.
According to the new rules, which came into force on January 1, citizens aged 18-30 will be subject to conscription for compulsory service.
The decree also orders the discharge of soldiers, sailors, sergeants, and non-commissioned officers whose conscription service has expired. The Russian government, regional authorities, and conscription commissions are responsible for ensuring compliance with all necessary measures.
During the previous call-up, half a year ago, about 130,000 recruits joined the Armed Forces, according to the General Staff of the General Staff (GMS).
The military body assured last Friday that the mobilized recruits will be excluded from the special military operation in Ukraine and will not be stationed in the four new territories (Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye).
