Displaced people returned to their homes after floods in Uruguay

Montevideo, Mar 31 (Prensa Latina) Authorities have ended the return of those displaced by the last rains and floods, in departments that are now back to normal.

In Durazno the return operation ended and in Florida and San José stability is reported.

At the national level, the number of evacuees or self-evacuees decreased to 47.

The Departmental Emergency Committee (CDE) of Durazno informed through a press release that the Yí river is already in its course and the people who were still displaced returned to their homes.

According to the statement, the last medical rounds were carried out, the distribution of food and hygiene kits was completed, and fumigation tasks are being carried out to address the presence of mosquitoes in different public places of the departmental capital.

The National Emergency System reported that five national roads remain closed.
