In a fraternal meeting in Colombo with Cuban Ambassador Andrés González, Hewapathirana also expressed his desire to promote Sri Lankan tourism in Cuba, according to diplomatic sources.
González, in turn, briefed the Sri Lankan executive details on the upcoming International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2024, to be held in Jardines del Rey resort, located on the northern keys of central Ciego de Avila province, on May 2-5.
He explained that this fair is the most significant event of the Cuban tourist industry and is an opportunity to invest in different sectors of Cuba’s economy.
Western Province is one of the nine provinces of Sri Lanka and is the most densely populated province in the country. It comprises three districts, including Colombo, the capital.
