Cuban authorities call to address urban planning violations

Havana, Mar 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuban authorities called on Friday to intensify the fight against urban planning illegalities and avoid delays in procedures related to the sector, a fact that causes inconveniences to the population.

In a recent report of the National Institute of Territorial Planning and Urban Development (INOTU), President Miguel Díaz-Canel stated that one of the institute’s projections for 2024 should be reducing procedures and progress in digitalizing processes.

The president also stressed the importance of using Cuban platforms to protect private data and have more technological sovereignty.

According to a report by the Cuban News Agency, Díaz-Canel recognized INOTU’s significant contribution to the cadastral value of urban and rural real estate, while insisting on the importance of using science and innovation in the institution.

The president advised resuming international events, “focused on sustainable and far-reaching development.”

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, in turn, called for strengthening the inspection body and caring for the patrimonial values.
