Cuba’s Ambassador to China, Alberto Blanco, assured that this gesture demonstrates the unlimited strength of solidarity and bilateral cooperation.
On his X account, the diplomat also shared images of the reception of China’s Ambassador to Havana, Ma Hui, by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.
Díaz-Canel thanked the Chinese Communist Party, the government, and the people for their constant solidarity while ratifying the historic and particular nature of the relations between the two nations.
Blanco also wrote on the same social platform about his visit to several hospitals in Chengdu, in southern Sichuan province, where Health Commission functionaries recalled with gratitude the work done by the Cuban medical brigade that assisted the Chinese people after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake.
In that province, the Cuban ambassador also met with other top Communist Party and government authorities, and both parties reaffirmed their willingness to implement cooperation in tourism, agriculture, and other sectors.
As part of his agenda, the head of Cuban diplomacy also participated in the inauguration of the Business Cooperation and Fortune 500 Dialogue with Hubei Province, where he presented advances in the biotechnology sector, Cuba’s attractions as a tourist destination, and opportunities in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), located in Artemisa, west of Havana.
