López Obrador considered that “he is the most Christian Pope and defender of the poor that I have ever met or heard about” and at the same time, he sent a hug to Colombian President Gustavo Petro, branded a “terrorist murderer” by Milei in the same interview.

On Wednesday, the Colombian Foreign Ministry described as “denigrating the way in which Milei expressed himself against the president of Colombian.”

“The statements by the Argentine president have deteriorated the confidence of our nation, in addition to offending the dignity of President Petro, who was democratically elected,” the communication added, and announced the expulsion of diplomats from the Buen Embassy in Bogotá.
