Narishkin and his delegation held talks with DPRK Minister of State Security Ri Chang Dae and other North Korean officials in a comradely and friendly atmosphere, during their stay in the DPRK from June 25 to 27.
The two sides shared information about the situation on the Korean peninsula and Russia, and on various regional and international issues and the strengthening of cooperation in the face of the escalation of espionage and plots of hostile forces.
There was consensus on the issues discussed, KCNA said.
In September 2023, during a visit to Russia by the general secretary of the Workers’ Party and president of the State Affairs Committee Kim Jong Un, the two nations agreed to strengthen ties in all fields, including the military.
On that occasion, Kim pointed out that the DPRK’s relations with Russia are of strategic importance.
