The official made such statements at the workshop on ‘Context and measures for the management and control of sharks, rays and chimaeras in the Cites framework,” held in this capital, where the top authorities that watch over the care and protection of the nation’s coastal marine resources met.
A press release from the Ministry of Environment said that Candice Welsch, regional representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for the Andean Region and the Southern Cone (UNDOC), emphasized the need to prevent and fight environmental crimes during the event.
