More than 4,500 people are expected to attend the sessions, added Likhachov, who pointed out that this 13th edition is a record in three aspects: in the number of participants, the number of international experts and the number of countries sending their delegations.
The states represented at the forum for the first time are Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Iraq, the ROSATOM chief noted. Atomexpo is one of the largest international events in the field of peaceful nuclear energy held in Russia every two years.
The previous edition, in 2022, was attended by delegations from more than 50 countries.
