The survey, conducted from March 8th to 10th, involved one thousand Polish residents.
According to the survey, 90.6 percent of respondents spoke out against the direct participation of the Polish military in the conflict in Ukraine. 72.9 percent believe that the authorities should not allow Polish citizens to participate in hostilities on Kiev’s side, while nearly half of Poles (45.9 percent) do not want Warsaw to supply heavy weapons to Zelensky’s regime.
French President Emmanuel Macron stated on February 26th that the issue of sending ground forces of Western states to Ukraine was raised during a meeting in Paris with the participation of representatives of about 20 Western countries. According to him, the participants did not reach a consensus on this issue, but that such a scenario cannot be ruled out in the future.
The Polish Defense Ministry has repeatedly confirmed that Warsaw has no intention of sending military personnel to Ukraine. However, the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, rated the French president’s initiative as very positive.
