Culture Minister Ernesto Villegas acknowledged the help of the “brotherly people” of the island in the flourishing of the performing arts in the Bolivarian Republic, where five thousand Cuban collaborators have been working for years in the country’s communities.
The day before, the Principal Theater of the historic center of Caracas hosted the inauguration of the FITP under the slogan “Let humanity be human”, attended by the public, authorities, and guests of the diplomatic corps of Havana accredited in Caracas.
In Villegas’ opinion, this slogan ratifies the commitment to the noblest causes of humanity.
He reaffirmed that the Festival has earned a place of reference as a “meeting point and confluence” of the theaters of the peoples of the world who seek paths of equality, justice, and humanity.
