The aircraft departed for the airport in the city of El-Arish, in Egypt, with a cargo that included bedding, personal hygiene items and food products, according to an official statement published by the Sputnik news agency.
The humanitarian aid will be delivered to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will be in charge of transporting it to the Gaza Strip, the note states.
To date, the Russian Emergencies Ministry has transported more than 450 tons of humanitarian supplies to Gaza on 19 aircraft belonging to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
