During the penultimate day of the 2024 International Computer Fair, which takes place at the Pabexpo venue in this capital, several representatives of the Eurasian country spoke exclusively with Prensa Latina about the interest of both countries in strategic alliances with technology companies and universities in the bouquet.
The director of international business development of the Russian company ITGlobal, Oleg Arsenyev, commented that his business group has been in the Caribbean nation’s market for several years with established clients and partners, but the objective is to continue accompanying the country in the processes of digital transformation.
“An event like Informática 2024 constitutes a transcendental space for our alliances, since we want to participate and be part of the Cuban digitalization processes, which is why on this occasion we bring several innovative proposals such as Itpod hardware, useful servers for the intensive use of resources computing for high computing, data storage and common business tasks,” he explained.
He also added that they arrive at the fair with two other innovative technologies such as the hyperconverged virtualization proposal (VSTACK) to replace North American analogues.
“This innovation can contribute and be interesting for computer developers, especially for the advancement of the establishment of the cloud in the country and we already have agreements with Cuban companies to implement it,” said Arsenyev.
We also want to launch and position our SimpleOne platform for the automation of business processes, which would improve the traceability, agility and transparency of services in companies, he pointed out.
For her part, the acting director of the Institute of Computer Sciences of the Moscow State Linguistic University, Alexandra Vanichkina, spoke about the joint work of this entity with the University of Computer Sciences of Cuba (UCI)
“This is a postgraduate educational project on the Internet, aimed at transformation, digital maturity and cybersecurity in the field of social engineering and the role in the development of artificial intelligence,” she stated.
She also said that the joint collaboration between both nations will contribute to expanding projects to teach the Russian language in the Caribbean country.
“Cuban and Russian professors maintain close cooperation and we want to keep Cuba as a key partner; and thus achieve multifaceted cooperation,” she pointed out.
Another of the Russian companies present at the 2024 Computer Fair is Voltah, which presented a data integration platform, a proposal for entities that want to start their projects in digital transformation.
In this regard, the technical coordinator of the collaboration project between this foreign company and the Cuban computer science and construction automation company, Aicros, Lisbeth Velázquez, informed Prensa Latina that the Russian firm’s protocols also serve for the integration of systems in the digital cities.
The agreement between the two parties will allow the Russian product to be distributed and services provided in the Latin American market, she explained.
