“The imperial eagle once again hovers over Our Americas trying to destabilize the Cuban Revolution,” the PSP highlighted in a public communiqué in support of the Cuban people, its Government and its Communist Party.

The communiqué points out that Washington launched on March 17 a destabilizing intelligence operation in the east of Cuba, “leveraging the discontent over fuel shortage.”

“The US has attacked again, seeking to influence the conscience of the Cuban people who know very well the difficulties’ origin: imperialism presided over by Joe Biden is directly responsible for the acute economic situation that Cuba is facing.”

It stands out that the fundamental cause of Cuba’s economic hardships is “the tightened blockade and the effects of the unfair inclusion of Cuba in the spurious States Sponsoring Terrorism list, with the sole purpose of destabilizing and overthrowing the Heroic Cuban Revolution.”

The communiqué adds that the Peruvian people and the Socialist Party “will mobilize to defend the Cuban Revolution which is our historic cause and that of the peoples of Abya Yala.”
