Palestinian president demands end to Israeli aggression

Ramallah, Mar 21 (Prensa Latina) President Mahmoud Abbas demanded the end to the Israeli aggression against the occupied territories, mainly the Gaza Strip, after accusing that country of launching a war of annihilation, Wafa informed on Thursday.

Abbas met with the Central Committee of the ruling Fatah movement in this city on Wednesday to discuss the war campaign launched by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the attempts to stop it, the news agency stated.

The president stressed the need to stop the war crimes committed by the Army and prevent the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

At the meeting, the president again called for stepping up international efforts to increase the volume of aid flowing into the coastal enclave.

He detailed his recent contacts with leaders of countries and international organizations to “stop the Palestinian bloodshed and the Israeli war machine.

Among the challenges the next Palestinian Government faces, he cited the Gaza reconstruction, the revival of the national economy, and the implementation of internal reforms.

During the meeting, the Fatah Central Committee reaffirmed that Gaza is an inseparable part of the occupied Palestinian territory and warned that it will not allow its division, regardless of the sacrifices, Wafa stated.
