The director of the National System for the Prevention, Mitigation, and Attention to Disasters (Sinapred), Guillermo González, explained that more than one million people in neighborhoods and communities should participate in this first exercise of the year 2024.

According to the functionary, four important aspects are foreseen, among them to test the early warning system in the communities, to verify that the families put into practice their self-protection measures.

In addition, they will review the development of security plans in schools and test the insurance mechanisms for workers in the institutions.

Based on Gonzalez statements, another important point will be the verification of the capacities and skills of the members of the community and municipal brigades in the processes of accompanying the population, to avoid human damage and their immediate attention in case they occur.
