Developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, it reached a speed of 160 kilometers per hour at full load and completed comprehensive performance verification in all systems, scenarios and levels.
According to reports, unlike traditional trains that rely on fossil energy or the contact network for electric power, this train is equipped with an integrated hydrogen system, and its average consumption per kilometer was five kilowatt-hours.
As said by, the vehicle uses a hybrid distributed energy system with multiple energy and hydrogen storage systems, which allows a range of more than 1,000 kilometers.
This was confirmed to the press by Wang Jian, deputy director of the New Technology Research Department of the National Passenger Vehicle Engineering Research Center of CRRC Changchun.
The expert reported on the train’s success in durability, high and low temperature, vibration, electromagnetic compatibility and fire safety tests of the hydrogen power system and its key components.
