According to a press release from that union, the meeting, to which the general secretaries of the 23 domestic provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires are expected to attend, will take place in this capital.

The leaders will analyze measures against the possible 70,000 layoffs, as those people’s contracts expire in late March, and the Government has expressed its intention not to renew them.

The state employees must deepen our plan of struggle and define measures of force that will allow us to avoid a scenario of massive layoffs, ATE General Secretary Rodolfo Aguiar said.

A “Manual of Dismissals” has been published in the last few hours. It details how to communicate and implement the dismissal of workers in all state agencies and dependencies.

The first verbal communications will begin on March 26, the ATE stated in a press release.
