During a meeting in Islamabad, Pakistani Finance and Revenue Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong discussed the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the progress made in its first phase, APP informed.
Both sides reiterated their wish to work closely to deepen and further expand economic ties, which they agreed to, thus reflecting the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two States, the news report stated.
Jiang Zaidong took the opportunity to congratulate Muhammad Aurangzeb on his appointment as Minister of Finance and Revenue and expressed confidence in further enhancing economic ties during his tenure.
Meanwhile, Aurangzeb thanked Beijing for its invaluable assistance to Pakistan in several sectors, APP highlighted.
