In a statement, the group criticized the US for its position on the latest events that took place in the city of Santiago de Cuba.
“Never before have hypocrisy and double standards been so brazen as those exhibited by the Government of the United States, by encouraging and financing a destabilizing plan against the dignified Cuban people, to which it mercilessly applies the most cruel and brutal blockade,” it said.
The Movement recalled that the economic, financial and commercial blockade aims to cause unrest, hunger and desperation, as well as to prevent Cuba’s development and potential.
According to the Movement, with this policy, the White House “intends to destroy the great social work of the Revolution of the humble and for the humble, an example for the peoples of the world.”
