On his X profile, the head of State expressed the sincere congratulations of the Cuban people for his re-election for a fifth term in office and considered the victory a clear sign of the Russian people’s recognition of his mandate.
Díaz-Canel also affirmed that his Government will continue to strengthen the Cuba-Russia relations in areas identified for the common good of both nations.
According to international media reports, Putin was elected with more than 87 percent of the votes. The president thanked Russian voters for their confidence in his leadership.
