Iván Gutiérrez, journalist and legal representative of the electronic newspaper, assured that this aggression against Prensa Latina’s TV channel demonstrates in facts that the information delivered to thousands of Internet users is what others keep quiet, or do not want to or cannot say.
“The voice of the Global South cannot be silenced, nor that of the communication professionals who work daily to inform the truth,” the general editor of Crónica Digital added.
According to a press release from Prensa Latina, the e-mail account associated with the aforementioned YouTube channel was hacked and modified on Sunday, and a US company now appears in its place.
The plagiarizing entity is called MicroStrategy and maintains data on the opening date of the channel, visits and accumulated subscribers similar to those of Prensa Latina TV.
