In the early hours of Monday, Islamabad attacked the Barmal district of Paktika and the Spera district of Khost, on the border area between Pakistan and Afghanistan, to which Kabul responded by firing heavy weapons at Pakistani military targets, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, Zabihullah Mujahid, condemned the bombings and warned in a statement that any violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty will have bad consequences.
In the early hours of Monday morning, Pakistani planes bombed homes in districts of Paktika and Khost provinces, resulting in six deaths in the former of these territories: three women and the same number of children; and two fatalities in the latter: both women, the spokesman said.
Mujahid asked the new government of Pakistan not to spoil relations between the two countries due to the reckless actions of some military generals, and not to blame their incompetence on the Afghan side.
