Recently, Industrial Dynamics, one of the main suppliers, explained that fighting between armed groups in the La Saline area is the cause of the shortage.

There is currently a large shipment of oxygen in customs with duties paid, but it was impossible for the company to get it out, as La Saline is totally under the control of the gangs.

The entity’s board of directors requested the protective intervention of the Haitian National Police to escort the convoy to transport the oxygen to the warehouse, from where it will later be distributed to the care centers.
