ALBA-TCP deplores U.S. coercive measures imposed on Nicaragua

Caracas, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) Member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) on Sunday rejected the unilateral coercive defense measures imposed by the United States on Nicaragua.

These acts are aimed at affecting and limiting Nicaragua´s commercial and security capabilities and, therefore, its economy and stability, ALBA-TCP said in a statement on Saturday night.

The sovereignty of our regional peoples is once again being affected by the US interference that systematically attacksregional nations that do not bow to its interests, by imposing measures contrary to International Law.

The text condemned that such measures “are unfounded”, affect harmonious relations among peoples around of the world and threaten peace, development and the well-being of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.

ALBA-TCP reaffirmed its “strongly rejection of the insolence of U.S. imperialism” and its imposition of unilateral coercive measures that seek to establish an international order with arbitrary decisions that endanger world peace and security.
