During the Angola-China Business Forum, the president stressed that cooperation between the two peoples is “the fruit of a long friendship of more than 40 years, based on the principles of mutual respect, cordiality, and economic complementarity”.
In this regard, he recalled that China is one of the most important destinations for the main export product: oil.
He pointed out that food production, including cereals, grains, sugar, livestock and fisheries, represents a potential area for Chinese investment in Angola.
He also highlighted the growing demand for electric vehicles and photovoltaic panels and stressed the need for investment in the battery and renewable energy industry.
Lourenço also invited Chinese entrepreneurs to participate in the production of certified medicines and vaccines to support Angola’s National Health System and contribute to the country’s economic and social growth.
