Through his social account X, the head of state sent his solidarity and condolences to the families affected and the Bolivian authorities.
On the same platform, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also sent his condolences to the South American nation, which has already recorded the death of at least 50 people and more than 40 thousand families affected by the persistent rains.
Intense rainfall in recent days caused emergencies in nine Bolivian departments, with La Paz as the most affected, followed by Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Oruro, Potosi, Chuquisaca, Pando, Beni and Tarija.
Bolivian authorities predicted that the rains will be followed by a period of intense fighting against diseases such as dengue fever, whose transmitting agent is the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
