Pamfilova told Sputnik this Thursday that the media accredited to the CEC will receive first-hand information about the electoral process.
The official stressed that the regional election commissions will also work with maximum transparency.
“An estimated 12,645 journalists from 2,458 media outlets have been accredited nationwide,” she stressed.
More than 114 million Russians will vote to elect the country’s president.
Four candidates, namely Leonid Slutsky of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), Nikolay Kharitonov of the Communist Party of Russian Federation (CPRF), Vladislav Davankov of the New People Party, and incumbent President Vladimir Putin, registered as an independent candidate, will vie for the top office.
