The SEZ has 206 companies, 20 of them Chinese, the president of this entity, Manuel Pedro, explained to the Angolan Press Agency, who informed that these correspond to diverse sectors such as the production of hospital equipment, the food industry, commerce, and telecommunications.
The executive pointed out the intention to continue deepening this relationship and promote the exchange of experiences in the context of the visit to China of the Angolan president, João Lourenço, who arrived on Thursday.
It is also a good moment to present the SEZ, due to its good location and its proximity to the new international airport of Luanda, he added.
With a physically delimited area with a perimeter of 4,717.91 hectares, the SEZ was created to help diversify the country’s economic base and contribute to reducing imports, promoting exports, creating employment and added value, as well as providing professional development opportunities.
