In its report, the UNESCO representation in Kabul reflected that Afghanistan is among the ten countries where most girls are unable to attend school and university.

These ten countries, Afghanistan and nine African nations, have the highest rate of girls who have no access to school.

This nation ranks tenth in the list. At least, 50 percent of girls are out of school, and that number could reach 75 percent, the document reveals.

Despite more than 900 days have passed since the closure of sixth-grade girls’ schools, and when there are less than ten days to start the new academic year, the acting government has said nothing about reopening schools for girls. jg/iff/mem/nvo
