Other institutions with equal merit in the exercise of the press were honored with the delivery of a certificate at the Dulce María Loynaz Cultural Center in this capital.
The extensive catalog includes the magazine La Letra del Escriba, the official site of the International Book Fair, the National Television News, the José Martí and Cubaliteraria publishing houses, Radio Cadena Habana, CMBF Radio Musical Nacional, and Granma and Tribuna de Havana newspapers, among others.
On a daily basis, Cuban media accompany the Cuban Book Institute and the country’s publishing system in the dissemination of our constant efforts to contribute to making reading the people’s heritage, not only for entertainment or instruction, but as a decolonizing proposal of ideas, the document highlights.
Signed by Cuban Book Institute President Juan Rodríguez, the text adds, “When all of Cuba is still experiencing that magnificent event that is the International Book Fair, which in its 32nd edition proved to be so, we must recognize that our press played an invaluable role in its diffusion.”
“Dear colleagues, we urge you to always feel that our institution requires your creative and systematic exercise to reach all audiences and better profile our work,” the certificate says.
At the meeting, Rodríguez highlighted the success of the Fair that has not yet concluded, as it is currently taking place in Camagüey province.
