“After everything found out so far, the Federal Police are only waiting for an authorization from Justice (Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in charge of the investigation at the Supreme Court) to arrest Bolsonaro,” Noblat wrote on his X profile.
The renowned communicator explained that it “does not mean that the authorization will be given shortly. It could take a little longer,” he noted.
According to the Brasil 247 website, with the deepening of the investigations on the involvement of the ultra-right politician in the attempted coup on January 8, 2023, authorities may have in their hands enough material to support the arrest of the former military officer and are only waiting for a judicial decision.
The website stated that even echoing the testimony of Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, Bolsonaro’s former aide-de-camp, to the PF on Monday, politicians expanded their statements, indicating that the former president will face increasing complications before the Judiciary.
Cid revealed details about the coup plan involving the hard core of Bolsonaro’s followers and the frauds related to the Covid-19 vaccine cards.
Furthermore, in testimony given to the PF two weeks ago, General Marco Antônio Freire Gomes and Brigadier Carlos Baptista Júnior, former Army and Air Force commanders, respectively, directly implicated Bolsonaro in the attempted coup.
