According to a press release, the increase in travelers from that geographic area, which represents its fourth largest market and includes countries like Spain, Germany and France, is based on recovery figures after the Covid-19 pandemic and growth prospects for each region.
The statistics we are receiving show that demand for the destination remains strong, there is room to increase our numbers by up to 25 percent and, combined, we will reach this unprecedented figure, Bartlett said at the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) in Berlin, Germany.
He noted that the ambitious target will require further discussions with Jamaica, including airlines, tour operators and travel agents, to create more seating capacity, as well as strong marketing and promotional activities to drive demand.
