The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed in a statement that one of Netanyahu’s main goals is to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian State.
As part of his strategy, the prime minister continues his attacks on the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and publicly boasts of his rejection of any role for that institution in the Gaza Strip, the text stressed.
The Ministry affirmed that this strategy is an extension of the anti-peace vision that Netanyahu has maintained for decades.
The document recalled that the head of the Israeli Government destroyed agreements signed between the two sides, thwarted all opportunities to reach a negotiated political solution to the conflict, and used the division to consolidate the separation between the West Bank and Gaza.
Netanyahu also committed violations and crimes that are still ongoing, closed the political horizon, and used all his capabilities to weaken the PNA and undermine its credibility, the Ministry assessed.
