There is a proposal for a presidential transition council composed of five appointed members including the January 30 political parties collective, the Montana agreement, the Fanmi Lavalas group, the private sector and religious organizations of various faiths.
This presidential council will have to appoint a Prime Minister to replace Ariel Henry, specifies the document which will be submitted today to Jamaica for analysis.
The new head of government will be chosen on the basis of pre-established criteria such as experience, competence, integrity, leadership, ability to bring people together.
He/she will have the task of forming a cabinet whose members will also have to meet certain clearly specified criteria.
The new transitional government proposed in the text will have a road map to act quickly and take decisions, including the restoration of security, the adoption of certain reforms and the drawing up of an electoral list.
It will also have to work towards the formation of an impartial electoral council and the organization of transparent elections.
