The Egyptian Armed Forces said in a statement that the air forces alongside its Emirati counterpart executed a new round of airdrops of food and medical supplies, which coincided with the first day of Ramadan, the holy month for Muslims.

The plane took off from Arish airport, in the northeastern Sinai Peninsula, the statement specified.

The authorities recalled that the national air force had on several times dropped important products over Gaza.

Meanwhile, Emirati counterpart pointed out that it had been the eighth joint airdrop between the two countries, totaling 353 tons up to date.

Both the UN and various non-governmental organizations have repeatedly accused Israel of preventing the entry by land from Egypt of the trucks loaded for the inhabitants of the Strip.
