During an official event at the Istanbul-based Knowledge Dissemination Foundation, which was broadcast by TRT channel, Erdogan made such a remark due to Tel Aviv’s military offensive and humanitarian crimes in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Turkish president, those “mass murderers” were already “judged by humanity’s conscience.” They were held responsible under international law.
Erdogan also announced the shipment of some 40,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip on 19 planes and seven civilian aid vessels.
In addition, another vessel from the Turkish Red Crescent, carrying 3,000 tons of aid, is expected to arrive in Egypt’s El-Arish port on Sunday. “We will increase the amount of aid throughout the Muslim holy month of Ramadan,” he added.
The Turkish head of State also mentioned the failure of the Islamic world, with a population of approximately two billion, to fulfill its duty of brotherhood to the Palestinian people.
