In an event held on the occasion of International Women’s Day and grappling with progresses and challenges in terms of women’s rights, the Peruvian leader tackled down on the request to the state and private sectors, for the sake of equal rights and opportunities between men and women.
She claimed her government is being committed to over 17 million Peruvian women and especially to victims of harassment and violence who live in vulnerability and violence, adding that girls and adolescents are even more vulnerable.
Boluarte asserted her administration will be stepping up efforts for equality “and building fairer and more inclusive society, which punishes violence and empowers women to achieve their goals and live their lives to the fullest”.
