Argentine organizations denounce government policies

Buenos Aires, Mar 8 (Prensa Latina) Members of social, feminist, and human rights organizations are marching to the Argentine Congress on Friday to denounce government policies and while commemorating International Women's Day.

Members of the “Ni Una Menos” (NUM) feminist movement, the Campaign for Legal, Safe, and Free Abortion, La Cámpora youth organization, HIJOS organization, the Argentine Workers Union (CTA), the Central Workers of Argentina-Autonomous (CTA-A), the General Confederation of Labor, and the Classist and Combative Current (CCC), among other groups, will speak in favor of social justice.

They will also speak out against the adjustment promoted by the Executive led by President Javier Milei.

Participants in the march will express their rejection of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) signed by Milei, which reforms or repeals more than 300 laws.

It will be a historic day against the extreme right. We are facing an authoritarian government that represents the patriarchal reaction, which talks about the chainsaw to celebrate a systematic plan of plunder and hunger and to destroy the rights of the working class and the people, points out a document drawn up by those organizations.

The organizations will also denounce the interference of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and defend Argentina’s sovereignty.
