Al-Mekdad’s statements, quoted by local media, was expressed during the ministerial-level Arab League Council meeting in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

The unconditional support and vetoes used in the United Nations Security Council prove Washington’s complicity in the shedding of Palestinian blood, the foreign minister affirmed.

The diplomat added that neither tens of thousands of victims nor thousands of tons of bombs and explosives used in the aggression have moved the conscience of the countries that support Tel Aviv, led by the United States.

Al-Mekdad stressed that the US vetoes against the recent Arab draft resolution on Gaza, submitted by Algeria to the United Nations Security Council, and another draft presidential statement on the Al-Rashid Street massacre are the best evidence of the United States’ involvement in the violations of international and humanitarian law.

The minister called to defend the rules of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, especially the sovereignty of the States, non-interference in their internal affairs, and the establishment of international relations based on the principle of equality among countries and peaceful cooperation.

According to the latest statistics from the Palestinian Health Ministry, 30,800 people have been killed and 72,298 have been wounded during 153 days of Israel’s aggression against Gaza.
