Organized by the Climate Resilience Implementation Agency of Dominica and the participation of other institutions, such as the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, the meeting will be attended by builders, engineers, architects, members of academia and representatives of financial institutions.
Among the objectives of the meeting are the exchange of knowledge acquired through the implementation of reconstruction and resilience projects, and the development of a road map of priorities to promote this last feature in the housing sector.
According to Dominica News Online, organizers expect the meeting to produce several outcomes, including increased awareness of resilience in public institutions, strengthened partnerships between the public and private sectors, and a boost to investments.
The tentative agenda for the event, to be held on the 13th and 14th of March, includes technical presentations, panel discussions and an exhibition showcasing innovations, services and products related to the sector’s resilience.
