Cuba denounces US interference in Venezuela

Havana, Mar 7 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez warned on Thursday about the suspicious coincidence that Government of the United States is announcing an extension of an Executive Order against Venezuela, as the nation agrees on its electoral schedule.

The head of Cuban diplomacy said that this behavior is not fortuitous just as Venezuelan electoral authorities have informed that they will hold the presidential elections on July 28.

This measure shows that the US Government is the only unusual and extraordinary threat to security, peace, economy and foreign policy in this hemisphere, the Cuban foreign minister noted.

With that pretext, Washington understood one of its unilateral coercive measures against Caracas in the Venezuelan pre-electoral context, marked mainly by interference from the US and other Western governments.

On Wednesday, Rodriguez condemned the extension of the Executive Order used by the US Government since 2015 to justify its sustained aggression against Venezuela.
