In an article published by El Salvador newspaper, ‘China and El Salvador, Friendship and Opportunity’, Yanhui said the friendship and cooperation between the two countries have been strengthened even more in five years of relations.

He also explained that in 2023, the volume of trade reached 1 billion 802 million dollars, which represents an increase of 65.1 percent since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

China is willing to offer more high-quality products needed by the Salvadoran market.

High-quality Salvadoran products, such as coffee and sugar, are gaining a larger share of the Chinese market, allowing Chinese citizens to enjoy the aroma of Salvadoran coffee without leaving the country,’ he said.

Chinese automobiles -such as Chery, Geely, and Great Wall- are gaining the interest of consumers in El Salvador, offering them more options.

He explained that last year, El Salvador sent a high-level delegation to China to participate in activities related to the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the fourteenth International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum in Macau and successfully joined the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
