San José, Mar 7 (Prensa Latina) The National Meteorological Institute (INM) of Costa Rica forecasts atmospheric conditions similar to those of these days, whose thermometers marked temperatures of 41 degrees in northern areas of the country.

In general, in the national territory will prevail a very hot environment during the day, due to the low cloudiness in the morning and partly cloudy skies in the afternoon, the IMN report highlights.

According to the institution, this Wednesday was one of the hottest days so far in March.

Statistics show that in Huacalito and Palo Verde, in the northern province of Guanacaste, temperatures of 41 and 41 degrees Celsius were registered, respectively, while in Cañas and Santa Cruz temperatures rose to 38.5 degrees Celsius.

In this case it represents a historical record, of a maximum that is much higher than that recorded in previous months of March in the record of this station, and we expect it to remain like this for three or four weeks, it is just what we have been warning, meteorologist Daniel Poleo explained. The El Niño phenomenon and the warming of the oceans generate these high temperatures. In fact, it is between two and three degrees above average, and for the end of the month from Sunday, March 24 to Saturday, March 30, the IMN forecasts even hotter conditions.
