That was the main result of a visit to Pretoria by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Jirí Kozák, to hold bilateral political consultations with the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (Dirco).
On this occasion, he visited the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to explore possible areas of collaboration with South Africa.
Received by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (DSI), Kozák also toured the National Center for Nanostructured Materials and the Cybersecurity Operations Center of the CSIR.
According to a statement from that Ministry, potential fields of collaboration included food security, exchanges between the respective science academies, and the use of hydrogen as an energy generator.
