At a press conference at the island nation’s stand at the Berlin-based so-called smokeless industry trade fair, Tourism Authority CEO Colin C. James expressed his satisfaction with the resumption of direct service for the upcoming winter season.
The German-speaking world is our second largest market on the continent, and the flight acts as an important gateway creating access from Central Europe to Antigua, he said, assuring that through a collaborative effort and strong partnerships, the service will be a success and visitor numbers will increase.
Industry officials hope that the new schedule, which runs through May 2025 and includes the Sailing Week celebration period, will ensure greater participation from the European country in this iconic sailing event.
