The former head of Government, who is a member of the We Continue the Change and Democratic Bulgaria coalition, handed over the post to Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel, from Citizens for the European Development of Bulgaria and a member of the Union of Democratic Forces.
Before the legislative body, Denkov reminded that the end of this responsibility responds to an agreement reached after the April 2023 elections in an effort to unblock internal politics, subjected to five parliamentary elections in only two years.
He added, “(…) this government kept its word and resigned in the ninth month of its administration. Thus we fulfilled our commitment by imposing a new European culture in inter-party relations.”
He told citizens that the executive is working on priorities such as increasing revenues, creating a sustainable business environment, strengthening state security and the country’s stance in international relations.
