Russia has more friends than enemies, Putin assures

Moscow, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) Russia has more friends than enemies, but it is an honor to be a friend as well as an adversary, President Vladimir Putin declared today in a meeting with the mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin.

For his part, the mayor assured that “despite the machinations of enemies, despite all kinds of sanctions”, the Russian capital is currently “doing very well”, according to Sputnik news agency on Monday.

“I think that the results of 2023 in Moscow are among the best in general in the entire modern history. There is a good growth of all indicators,” the mayor of the city stressed.

He noted that, in particular, there is a 25-40 percent increase in the production of pharmaceuticals, automobiles, microelectronics, as well as a growth of investment, including in commercial real estate, in housing construction.

As noted on the website of the mayor and the government of the capital, according to the results of 2023, Moscow set an absolute record in the growth of industries of 22.3 percent, except in the sphere of oil refining.
